One of the great analog circuit experts and I don't use that term lightly. I read some grumbling about possible errors in this book and others, likely nothing more than publishing errors and typos, they happen all the time. That said, everybody makes mistakes and nobody knows everything, stop fussing about minor things and learn from the gentleman.

Part of Analog Semiconductor History

Bob Pease was always an unusual character at work. He will remain a notable part of our Analog Semiconductor History and that alone is a good reason for an engineer to keep this book in his personal library. The troubleshooting/debugging examples in this book are a bit dated (advanced technologies become obsolete in a relatively short amount of time), but Bob's troubleshooting philosophy is still applicable. His tips aren't just useful for Design Engineers. Semiconductor Test Engineers and Product Engineers can benefit from this book as well.

A Very well written book for the non EE engineer. I would recommend this book for anyone who wants to trouble shoot electronics who has a least a basic understanding of the different components and simple circuit troubleshooting abilities. Not for the repair of a toaster.
