Really, programming as in not at all! The Python guide is nothing more than some syntax examples and the Android portion is nothing more then a few descriptive paragraphs about the SDK environment.

Practical coding examples are nonexistent and the help (if you want to call it that) is free with a minimal web search.

What a waste, I know I didn't expect much with 40+ pages but with the expansive use of white space and self-promotion, it is probably more like 20 pages.

Love this book, if you've done Quantum, it is reptitive

I really love this book. She gives you wonderful exercises to open yourself up with your angels.
I work with angels and teach other's to connect with them.
Everything I do involves my angels.
I also took the Quantum Healing classes they offer from home. So the stories used in this book
are the same stories they use in the Quantum Healing classes. I wish she had her own set of
stories instead of the ones Richard Gordon uses in his classes.
Other than that, I truly believe in this work. I also recommend reading Richard Gordon's stuff.
If you can't get into a Quantum Healing class, he sells the DVD's which is what I bought.

Definitely for beginners...

The book itself is good for someone just learning about spiritual healing and working with the angels. This was my first book on angel healing, but I found that a lot of the information is repeat of general energy healing, working with the angels or archangels and so forth. If you are already fluent in energy healing and working with the angels, then this book isn't for you.

I scowled all the way through the book

Normally, I don't review books because I tend to agree to at least one review that's already been written. But, I HAD to review this time. I've just discovered Michelle Reid books and have enjoyed the handful I've read so far, but this one was a disappointment. The Hero was an ass and a bully and the heroine let her horniness overrule her brain EVERY TIME. Every time she got fed up and decided to leave him for good, I cheered her on because I knew it would make him really examine his behavior. And every time he would bully or sexually manipulate her into giving him to him and I would groan and roll my eyes. By the time the end rolled around and resolutions were happening, I was so over everything, I didn't care. I'll read more Michelle Reid books because I've seen how awesome they can be, but I'm glad this wasn't the first book of hers that I read.

Disappointing after promising start

This began with a great premise and with a thought-provoking set of problems to be overcome, in a man who can't say no to his ex and a demanding jealous daughter treating our heroine with disdain.
About a third of the way through, I disliked the male protagonist so much that I was waiting for the real hero to be introduced - Roberta (our heroine) deserved better. Sigh...There was no other hero, I had to stick with the disagreeable, smug, bullying, leading man and a heroine who, although perfectly justified in her demands, was *tasered* into submission by his kisses every time she was confrontational, so we never got a reasoned discussion from the hero about the problems, just his smug superior "I-know-how-this-novel-ends" attitude.
I was really disappointed in the outcome, and the grovelling should have been accompanied by some serious suffering by the hero for the novel to have truly been redeemed in my eyes.
However, that said, I DID finish the novel, it was very well written, and a very realistic dilemma, but oh, for me it missed by a smidgeon being a great read, just because that hero was such a furniture-throwing jerk, and the heroine such a pushover for love.

i loved this book , it is another great story by MR. the only thing i didn't like was when he grabbed her neck to hurt her because of his daughter's lies. the H knew his daughter had lied before . i highly recommend this book . i have read it many times .

Best Summary of Modern Research

During the 70's and 80's, a flood of new information on historical witchcraft became available. Levack's book is the best survey of this new data, which has revolutionized our understanding of the Great Hunt. It's not a very "daring" book; it sticks to the facts, to the things we're sure about. There isn't a lot of speculation in it. But it's a great antidote to the badly researched books, like Anne Barstow's _Witchcraze_, which flood the popular market.

Evidence based and thoughtful for a mainstream book on the topic

Finally, a scholarly treatment of the issue unimpeded by an emotional attachment to the forgery Etienne Leon de Lamothe-Langon's Histoire de l'Inquisition en France, written in 1829 (even though the forgery was uncovered in 1975)or any strong desire to hammer a square peg into a round hole to promulgate a writer's own personal crusade.

The result is an evidence based and thoughtful historical treatment of the Witch Hunting tragedy with reasonable conclusions.

If you are sick of unrealistic oversimplifications that reflect the pet interest/s of the author more than the historical evidence or sick of books where the author has not taken the time to keep 'up to date' with historical developments (35 years ago) and believes that the Witch Hunt is a purely medieval phenomenon rather than peaking between 1550 and 1650 this is the book to read.

Given the strengths of the book I would recommend it to anyone from budding historians to general public with an interest in a historically accurate take on the Witch Hunts. I acknowledge that Catholics might find slight discomfort in the author's apparent prejudice against Catholicism. He writes of reformation greats being Luther and Calvin and seems to downplay their contribution by contextualising that they didn't make much direct comment on the topic even though one of them insisted that witches need to be killed or something and they were highly influential. That is not to say that he fails to acknowledge that they contributed just a slight reluctance to give their contribution as much weight as someone who doesn't consider reformists to be great might. This is a very subtle issue that does not significantly detract from this first rate book.

Informative, but rather repetitive and dry

Pulling together the vast amount of information that Levack does had to be a truly daunting task. He does it well, with easily followed organization and summaries, tables and charts, and copious references to specific witch-hunt episodes. This all makes it a good reference for people who might want to know more about the social and religious settings of the hunts. (I'm reading it for a graduate literature class on mythology and heresy.)
However, he refers to specific hunts as if expecting readers to know a good deal about their causes, effects and events. Except for the Salem, MA, hunt (which is frequently referenced, though technically not in Europe at all), none of the many hunts were at all familiar to me. What, for instance, WAS the 1610-1611 "dream epidemic" in Basque country? It sounds fascinating, but Levack never gives us any details about it. Perhaps this sort of information is beyond the scope of Levack's interest, but its omission does make for dry reading of numbers and dates, as opposed to the more human stories that lie behind them.

EXCELLENT book, GREAT information, FUN tips. The only thing it lacks is pictures!

This is an EXCELLENT book: thorough, detailed, and accurate. You'll find information most books don't provide, including wise warnings (do NOT buy an exercise wheel for a guinea pig), and good tips for training your guinea pig, which makes life with a guinea pig much more fun! The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it has no pictures. Pictures are less important than excellent information, but still, we (buyers of pet books) love to look at them. :-)

Great read with a lot of information!

It has been probably 15 years since I last owned guinea pigs and so I wanted a book to read as a refresher for me but also lots of good information for my 8 year old son who is just now learning about them. My 4 year old daughter might be interested in some of the information too however there are no pictures like most of the other reviewers state so I went ahead and ordered another book more geared towards her. This book was a great read and though there were a few repetitive parts, it was overall lots of useful information. We will be getting our 2 new guinea pig babies in just over a week when they are ready to leave mom and I am so excited to be able to teach them tricks. I did not even know you could teach them tricks!

I was considering having guinea pigs this book I found very resourceful, and was able to learn all of the basic care needed as a beginner to having guinea pigs, after reading it I was ready to find the right pair of guinea pigs, it was very helpful in knowing what was needed to get you started, also included tricks on training your guinea pigs.

from very basic concepts that would be useful to anyone wanting to improve their health

I got this book recently as a research tool to try and find ways to help my 20 year old brother with Asbergers syndrome. While a lot of the information is geared towards children, it really has a wealth of information in regards to nutrition, from very basic concepts that would be useful to anyone wanting to improve their health, to autism spectrum-specific ideas. Since my brother thinks of himself as an "adult" and wants to make many of his own decisions regarding food he eats; and my mom (his sole caretaker and number 1 champion) works a full time job and has a limited budget, the "gluten-free, casein-free" diet often recommended by autism specialists is a bit unrealistic. However, this author, instead of insisting that readers jump right into all of that, suggests a 10 step plan, that involves gradually changing the whole family's diet over time, so you can start with the basic steps, and then stop there if you're getting the results you want and/or the rest seems too challenging for your lifestyle. Overall, it's been very informative as I've studied the intro and first 3 chapters over the last few weeks. I passed it on to my mom tonight with parts I thought would be useful highlighted. There is a lot of information in this book especially ...

There is a lot of information in this book especially for folks who don't cook a lot.I cook from scratch most of the time and watch additives to all foods I buy. Information on vitamins was helpful. If your child has eating issues making some of these dietary changes will be a challenge. I will keep the book for a reference.

great jump off point

what a great read and a wonderful place to start for food therapy. My son with aspberger's has now been GFCF for 8 months and it is a dramatic difference for him. The little light in him just got brighter and brighter. Results began happening for him with in the first two weeks. If your son or daughter is on the spectrum, please consider this treatment for you child.
