Vitamin K Levels in Common Food

This book arrived in great shape. I will be on blood thinner medication for the rest of my life. Since Vitamin K tends to thicken the blood and is found in so many foods I needed a guide to keep track of how much Vitamin K I consume. It would be nice if companys put vitamin K levels on their products along with the other information they provide. Since they don't I am now able to find out by using this book. It covers just about everything in the food and beverage catagories. It has made my life a lot easier now that I can plan my meals so my intake of vitamin K stays within a safe range.

Vit K Levels in Common Foods

I bought the Kindle version. It is true that the foods are listed alphabetically with Vit K amounts. This would be more helpful if there was an index of the alphabet which would take me to that section of the the book with the letter of the food I was looking for. Example: If I wanted to look up green tea, I could pick "G" in the index. This would much more effective than scrolling through pages and pages to get to green tea.

The index could be arranged as follows:
A-Ad
Ad-Am
Am-As
As-Az

And so forth. As it stands now, I wish I had not bought the Kindle version.

A surprise.......no more Kale

I love all sorts of dark green veggies Kale, etc. I found a really good recipe from New Season's store, but boy it spiked my vit k, I am on coumiden, and that is one of the highest vit k, that I should'nt eat...this book is very helpful, sort of depressing too.....I loved spinach, asparagus, broccoli, I can eat small amounts just not lots, like I used to do.
